As the days wrap up and we pack up our classrooms, I want to take a moment to look back on what has been an absolutely incredible school year. The end of the school year is naturally a time for learning, growth, and reflection, and as I reflect on the past ten months, my heart is filled with immense pride and gratitude.

When we started this year, our students walked through the doors with new backpacks, a few nervous smiles, and endless possibilities.  They have officially departed for summer break as stronger readers, deeper thinkers, and more compassionate friends.

Watching our students grow this year has been a true joy. But when I think about their progress, I am not just looking at test scores or Gather reports. I am looking at their holistic growth as wonderful human beings.

  • In the classroom, they tackled tough challenges, embraced mistakes, and discovered the joy of a breakthrough moment.
  • On the playground and in the halls, they practiced kindness, learned how to navigate friendships, and showed inclusivity.
  • Within themselves, they built resilience, confidence, and a unique voice.

Every single student has stretched their mind and expanded their heart this year. They are not just moving up a grade level; they are becoming the very best versions of themselves.

This growth doesn't happen in a vacuum. It takes a dedicated village, and we are incredibly fortunate to have the best one around.

To our parents and guardians: Thank you. Thank you for your unwavering support, your endless patience, and your trust in us. You have partnered with us every step of the way, celebrated the victories, and helped navigate the bumps in the road. Your collaboration is the cornerstone of our success.

To our amazing Aurora community: Thank you for wrapping your arms around our school. Your generosity, enthusiasm, and commitment to education create an environment where our children can truly thrive.

We often say how truly lucky we are to have a hand in helping to shape Aurora’s youth. It is a profound responsibility and an absolute privilege. By nurturing their curiosity today, we are helping them become future-ready for all that lies ahead in an ever-changing world.

Whether your family is staying close to home or embarking on grand adventures this summer, I wish you all a safe, restful, and joyful break. Read great books, play outside, laugh a lot, and make wonderful memories.

Thank you for a phenomenal school year. We can't wait to see how our students continue to shine!

With deep pride and gratitude,

Kim Stewart
